yesterday I was driving from my house to lifetime to go shoot some hoops. I noticed on my way there that my oil pressure gauge wasn't where it usually is, it was really low. I don't have an aftermarket gauge so i'm reading off the stock cluster. Can anyone help me out? My oil is full and isn't leaking anywhere, I checked the dipstick 3 times this morning just to be 100% sure that my engine had oil and there wasn't a leak
Try changing the filter, you may have got some junk through and are clogging it up. How low is it reading? You can also take off the oil cap while the car is running to make sure plenty of oil is getting up top.

Also check the oil pressure sensor/wire going to it, oil pressure releif valve might be another possible option.

the oil level reading is just a little bit above the bottom line, when I as looking underneith the car a wire was hanging down by the oil filter... kinda around there, do you think i need to open the oil cap to get more oil to the top of the engine.
The wire may be the issue. I would check that out first.

the wire going to the oil pump... the sensor wire or whatever its called just fell off, i put it back on and the car registered the oil pressure right away, super easy fix... I was just really worried when I saw no pressure.. thanks guys again. This post is done.
