I posted in the Lse thread, so I guess you suggestion is don't rebuild just replace?
I would recommend a replacement upgrade.
What are your current modifications to the vehicle? Goals?

Getting a used 14b would be your other option, or a used once of any of the above turbo's.
thanks for the input jet, I will see what they run, now to get the hg/tb done, or to hire someone to finish it lol, then the fact that my tranny is almost dead......

I drive it to work everyday, Ramsey > Mahtomedi.... I have MBC/Aircan mod, TurboXS Bov, 3In Exhaust.... to be honest I just want it to keep it going down the road lol, I love the car, but this is all making me think of parting it out :( or selling it......
one cool thing of all this happening I found out your shop is like only a few miles from my house lol...

Well if you are trying to keep it on a budget, replacing it with another 14b or the smallest available upgrade (16g) would be the best bet. A slight upgrade will require a few modifications to make it work 100%, but it does not ruin the pocket book, the reliability, or the "funness" of the vehicle if done correctly.
Stop on all and we can take care of you.

the crappy thing is I started pulling it apart, but at this point I might be checking into how much to have someone just finish the job and call me a Noob for trying to do it myself, I have done a couple of HG's on honda civics, also have a 70 Chevelle, which is EASY compared to this DSM, thought this job wouldn't be too bad, then I got the exhaust manifold off, fuel rail, and other things as you can see in the pics, so basically I am in a tough spot lol....
