I've seen supras pull 1.3 60's...
But I guess no one has ever put slicks on a DSM before.
DSM rear ends aren't nearly as stout as a Supra's. They snap axles only receiving a little over half the engine's output.

Yawn, I can lay rubber forever with my AWD with the Koni's set on full firm.
Are you serious....?

Yeah, as Steve pointed out the Supra's shit can stand it better but theres no reason to get rid of AWD for the purpose of launching (for any normal street driver anyway). You'd have to spend a lot of money to convert an AWD into RWD and make the RWD launch as good as it did before when it was AWD. An AWD buddy of mine consistently cut 1.7-1.8's when he was moderately modded whereas back home a guy I know with a modded SRT and another guy I know with a 355 Camaro are both happy to get close to a 2.0 and I dont think either have gone under.

I spun all four the entire length of the parking lot in front of my shop last summer, at a measly 21psi. It fishtails like a mofo.
Yeah, once you get some power even AWD has traction issues. Just hammering on my car in 2nd will send it sideways on the interstate, no clutch or anything, just stepping on the gas. I'll have DR's on this year, so hopefully that will stop, but I will have more power too...

Wait, wasnt the car in the video a member of this site. I forget who it was but i remember he like broke the front axles and then made this video and was laughing about how it was the ghetto conversion.

The DR's are better, but I'm guessing you'll need the same amount of traction I need. QTP's baby!!
