Also what is an ACR? you stated its your first.

I think ACR is newb for CAR.

Also, I don't believe you have read vfaq at all. There is a nice little mods list to follow if you just looked. If you are looking to get hp and gas mileage put an intake and a fart can on your car and call it a day.

ive skimmed over v-faq, but this summer i actually plan to take the time to read it, actually, i think i have the mod list thing save to my favorites.

Before you begin modding, make sure you are up to date on all your maintenance such as a timing belt job, all fluids changed, etc.

Now, are you interested in a car that goes fast in just a straight line or also around corners? Good basic power mods to start with are turbo-back exhaust, full intake, a boost controller, and a S-AFC.

If you can't afford a $40 boost controller maybe modding a DSM isn't the smartest thing to do ;)

I got mine for 10 bucks off ebay, works like a charm.

I say, just up the boost to 15 psi, and have fun. Should hold you over for the summer. Also, don't forget to slap in an aftermarket boost gauge before you think about messing with the boost levels. The stock one in the dash isn't accurate at all.
