i have a 91 tsi awd and im in the middle of converting over to a standard PTE 50 trim direct mitsu. bolt on. Im having problems getting the turbo to fit because of the hard coolant pipe directly behind the turbo (the compressor housing keeps pushing up on that pipe causing it to leak where it fits into the the other hard pipe) it uses just a ring seal. Any ideas or solutions people have used in the past? any help would be appreciated thanks!

You might need to heat it up and put an indent in the pipe where the turbo hits, that is what I have heard other people do but dont know how well it works.

You also may have to clock the compressor housing if one of the bolts are hitting it, they stick out farther. Shouldn't really need to dent it hardly at all with a t04e housing.

clocking the housing like jet said helps a lot, but removing the water pipe and denting it with a hammer works well. that's what I had to do with my 61. The new DNP mani moves the 67 out more though, so the pipe is no longer an issue. Have you tried maybe running a DNP mitsu-flanged manifold? I hear that also takes care of the issue, flows better then the mitsu manis, but isn't quite as cost-effective.

its all fixed, clocking it helped give it the little extra room i needed thanks.
