Well I already got tired of buying 1 gallon cans of denatured alcohol for $14/can from local shops, so I stopped by Ace hardware and guess what? $41 for a 5 gallon drum! The drum has a little plastic pull-out nozzle with a screw on cap on the top of the can. I picked up a $2 fluid pump from checker and it threaded right on! The pump is not super efficient, but it gets the job done and with zero spillage...the 1 gallon cans...and I...are prone to spilling a little, and this does away with that!

So here it is, my own little alky filling station! Just pull the car into my garage (like always), pop the trunk, lift the can into the trunk, open my alky tank and pump away!

After I snapped this pic, I put a little cap on the end of the filling hose to help prevent evaporation.

Depends entirely on my driving style. If I am doing logging, long 4th gear pulls, etc, the car will eat up 2/3 - 3/4 of a gallon in a day. If I'm nice to the car and driving normally, it is about 3/4 gallon per tank of gas. I usually fill up whenever I can. If I am in the trunk and the tank is around 1/2 full I'll usually just fill it up while I'm there.

Sweet, we'll have to get one of those for the next house party instead of a keg. Alcohol by the drum!!

Make sure the city doesn't find out about you having 5 gallons of alcohol at your house.

Or your home owners insurance ;).

I have 5 gallons of alcohol in my pantry, but it's not all in the same container.
