I'll have to hit some of these events. What is the novice school all about? I'd imagine that would be a good thing to do since I've never auto-X'ed before.

decent site to look over. Also, there is a 2007 rule book to DL on that site near the bottom.

I've also never been to an Auto X so i would be a rookie, but I do want to get out about about and enjoy the car. I don't actually care if I am very good or not, I just want to get out and drive the car in a way that wouldn't normally go over so well in a parking lot. ;)

The novice school is basically an introduction to autocrossing and what occurs throughout the day at one of their events. There is some classroom time and later you usually get to drive your car a couple of times with one of the instructors through the course. I hope to participate in it this year.
