Lately I've been looking into getting a whole bunch of OEM/aftermarket rebuild parts for my 7-bolt. Well, it's come to almost 800$ or so w/o labor, I'm not sure if I personally want to do all the labor but I may.

Well my new thought was to just get a 6-bolt and have a shop swap it in or someone local that knows what they're doing..(Is it simple plug n' play?(a.k.a. drop n' plug?)) I know theres tons of threads but Im just looking for a simple Yes or NO!!

Wondering where I would get a good low-mileage 6-bolt 4G63T? I've searched eGay all over and wondering where you guys got yours, I'm no where near a yard with a possible 6-bolt I can guarentee. I was hoping to find one in good enough condition to not have to drop more than 3-400 into.

Anyone got a decent one for sale?!

This really sucks, is it worth it to put a bunch into my 7-bolt? I know that not all crankwalk but jeesh, I am in a dilema. I found out a guy has a 6-bolt 91 in his yard 12 mi. away.

My bad, thought you were swapping into a 2g. Well I think there are still a couple things even for swapping 7 to 6 bolt in a 1g, but it's def easier than swapping into a 2g. Good luck.

If you are going to get a used one make sure you buy it from someone you can trust. For 400 bux you are almost at half the price of a quality rebuild.

I sell stock rebuilds. Much better than buying a used motor with clue of it's condition.

My rebuild was about $2700 in parts and machining without assembly. What are you getting for $800? All the new bearings, gaskets, bolts, pumps, pulleys can add up fast so make sure you factored them in.

I'd second contacting Goat Blower about one of this rebuilds. $1000 is a pretty good deal.

Didn't even think about you Steve. How much were your Stock Rebuilds again? You were charging under 1k weren't you? That'd be a great idea, that way you know you have a perfectly good motor your installing in the car.
