That sucks, I would think a different platform also. I would say you have had some of the worst luck with dsms out of just about anyone I know.

How old is the engine anyways? I can't remember if you had it built or if you were still on the stocker.

Vette or GTO if you want some practicality.

Built motor, 6 bolt. The car had a blown headgasket and was suspose to sit, but I guess with his concord dying, he really didn't have a choice :(

yep concorde died about a week ago. Been driving the eclipse since then to work and back. Picked up Sean with it (he lives by LSE) and then out to Apple Bees in Rosemount the otherday. Motor was Johns old motor out of his red car that was rebuilt. Had maybe 3000 miles on it but thats besides the point. Way to many variables to know what exactly happened. It is what it is. Its just the thought of starting over and that expense that frightens me.

The possitive note I can think of, is that if I got a supra the BPU(maybe a ++) would be just as fast as my eclipse I'd think.

Kyle and i have been working on the concorde and its not something simple that we can find. Battery ok, Alternator ok, and spark plug wires ok. There is a short someplace and it time to bring it to the dealership. (but this is getting off topic so i'll stop there)

Sorry man. A new engine isn't that expensive, but you need to make sure to have the thing running good. You seem to need a reliable car so I say go with a vette, C5's are nice and cheap.

Damn that car sure knows when to quit. Brian .. I loved that Eclipse both GSX and GST. What ever path you take make it a good one. And my 2 cents LS motor. Like said before 2jz is a nice motor. But when modded ... it starts to break. Part out the car. And walk away. Once I get my Talon back I am going to drive it until she dies agian.... That be the last DSM I own.

Vette. New, fairly reliable and fast stock. Supras and 3S's are the same as DSM's, you need to put money in to make them fun and then they're not reliable anymore. Plus they're old.

I agree 100%. The only other option I would consider woulf be an 03-04 Cobra. It lacks a little in the interior department but is a solid platform for big power and some good fun.

Vettes are awesome, C6's are even better. I would love one but at this point I would have a hard time buying a 2 seater even though the rear seats in a Mustang are pretty much worthless.

Also, just curious what is going on with the Concord? I would be more than happy to put you through with a Chrysler/Dodge tech that really knows his stuff. He would be more than happy to talk your ear off about the Chrysler and give you pointers on fixing it. He was a wrench at a dodge/chrysler/jeep dealership for quite a few years. Now he is my manager but will talk Mopar as long as you let him.

Well we changed battery spark plugs and checked alternator, everything checked out ok. Oh ever when you try to start the car it just clicks but nothing happens all the lights inside dash, stereo, a/c etc all flicker on adn off with the clicking. Occasioanly (maybe 1 in 50 tries) the car will start up and run. once you shut it off or if it dies the car won't restart and you're in the same boat. it's almost as if the starter is stuck or something or there is a ground thats causing interferance. it's definetely eletrical. Cause sometime just before the car finally died when ever it rained the car would do this. But once it got dry it would be fine. Sometime while your driving the stereo would shut on and off (ie: loose power) then sometime the whole car alltogether would die and then come back on.
other then that I can't tell you. I'm sure its an electrical problem but kyle and i couldn't find it.
