I recently installed a Kenwood dvd player in my 240, and while installing it, I couldn't seem to find the wire that goes to the amp for my subs. I've seen this wire on other decks referred to as the remote wire. So my question is, does anyone know where to get a wiring diagram for the dvd player? I tried doing a yahoo and google search and came up with nothing. Any help is much appreciated.

Go to Kenwood's site, they should have downloadable instruction manuals for every piece of equipment they make.

They have the instruction manual there, but there's no wiring diagrams in it. The one I got from there is the same as the book I got with it.

The wires on the back of it aren't labeled?

All you need to find is a 12v wire in the car. Make sure it is active when the car is on, and not when the car is off. Run that to the amp if there isn't one on the deck.

Usually this wire is blue.

Ok, sweet. Yeah, the wires weren't labeled coming from the box. It's kind of a weird setup cuz there's the deck that goes in the dash, but then there's another box that goes under the seat, in the trunk, or wherever you wanna put it that's kinda the "brain" of the unit. I'll try that 12v wire idea. Hopefully that works.

Yup, look for the blue wire or the ECU power wire thats only hot when the car is on (same one you tap a AFC into).

If you don't have a blue wire you can use the yellow wire. The yellow wire is your ignition and will turn amp off when you take the key out of the car. The blue wire will shut off the amp when the headunit is off.
