Last night was pretty fucking insane. I'm pretty sure I saw Cher there with a chick. I saw a sexi blue evo roll up and I saw an asian guy driving it and then I saw someone that I thought could be Cher several times at the concert lol. I guess I'm not positive ( I haven't seen him in a long time) but I think it was!
Anyways, the concert rocked out. Quietdrive is a pretty chill band on CD but they rocked the shit out of first ave last night. It was above and beyond what I expected. The first guy that performed ( Dave Mellilo) was kinda boring but he had some talent. If he had a band, he could be pretty entertaining. The 2nd band (Four Letter Lie ) certainly knew how to pound. The singing was a bit much for me ( mostly just yelling ) but the band was great. Especially the drummer. I can't remember the name of the band. The band (White Light Riot ) right before quietdrive was pretty wack.
All in all, it was very well worth the money! If you are into rock and you have never heard of quietdrive, check them out! They have a myspace page somewhere and their CD can be found at best buy.

PFFTTTT "whack"?-I'd like to say opposite of your opinoins on some aspects of the show. That was me in the Fevo. I went with a friend Megan. Four Letter Lie is an awesome... screamo/emo/poppunk from Maple Grove signed on Victory Records-their performance was as expected-really damn good. I loved how the little quietdrive fans were like.. ehhhhh when they started off screaming. It was awesome and too bad so sad for those kids! Dave Mellilo reminded me of an acoustic Starting Line band. White Light Riot was THE BEST performing band that night. They are an indie/alternative band and i've been listening to them for a few years now. They are really talented and are like a Phantom Planet/Interpol band. If you're not into that, eh...
Now Quietdrive. Very mediocre for me. I've seen them on numerous accounts but I've never gone to a show directly for them. They were always opening up for other bands I wanted to see. The thing is, with Quietdrive, it's pop-punk, but it's almost Incubus-ey. To me, they are good, but they aren't that good. They have lots of potential, but the level of poppy-ness isn't at a very high point in my standards-and I am a sucker for pop punk. I left after the 4th song. I saw what I wanted to see.. Four Letter Lie and White Light Riot. I would've stayed longer, but the group of 14-16 yr olds was too much for me.

www.purevolume.com/fourletterlie - CD is very good - perfect mix of screaming and singing and really good everything for your every need.
www.myspace.com/whitelightriotmusic -their CD is very good. Probably one of the best local/unsigned bands I've seen. If you're into indie/alternative, you willl appreciate their talent. Joe is an awesome guitarist.

IDK why I put the quest but i did.. **fixed some mistakes**
I didn't like really anything about white light riot. I guess it's not the sound I like to hear. Four letter lie would be something I'd love the shit out of but I don't know how I'd handle the one side of the vocals. I personally liked the singer but the dude that was screaming was a bit much for me.

Well another thing I should keep in mind is that bands live, are usually a bit more.. insane? So it's possible that his voice is a little more coherant on the CD. Is it possible to understand him on their cd? Is the cd something you can get at best buy or do you need to buy it a different way. I'm friends with someone close to the band apparently. I didn't find that out until I ran into them at the concert lol.

It's screamo, you won't understand the scream unless you know the words. You can get it at best buy. Theres a bunch of "close to the band" people. The kids are from Maple Grove.

I wonder if I heard Four Letter Lie awhile back. Eh...sounds like you two liked it. I went to a show here with mostly Hardcore Punk I call it. And it had Further Seems Forever smacked in the middle of it all. Basicly I went to see my Cuz (that was in FSF). And you right about the two different styles. How some like Hardcore punk over pop punk/Emo.
Four Letter Lie sounds kinda like Silversteen and some of Taking Back Sunday. Thanks Cher for telling me about them. I do like.
