Anyone ever heard of or used these?

Pretty spendy considering you need two sets for the whole range of sizes, but considering I have a lot of -4, -6 and -8 lines to make I really am considering purchasing the small set.

If it works it seems like it would be worth it. Seems a little high priced though.

A little WD40 and some hand strength have always worked well for me. It hurts when you stab yourself with the frayed ends though.

The one I did tonight I got as far as threading it together without the use of a vise... I guess with a vise and some lubricant it isn't hard at all. I didn't get stabbed at all either.

Yea, it isn't that hard, if you get a decent cut on the hose. Those tools are a bit expensive, they should be $10. It's not like getting the hose into the fitting is the only step involved in making SS braided lines with AN fittings.

Electrical tape and JB-80 make it a lot easier. I had trouble the first couple times I did it, but after that it was smooth sailing. My friend has a cutter that basically looks like bolt cutters with a curved end that he swears by. They might be made by aeroquip, but I know for sure they are specifically made for cutting AN lines.

I used to use electrical tape but you're not supposed to and it leaves a gooey residue after you get a little oil on it. Now I just make sure the ends are all even and I use a cutting wheel to clean up a few strands if needed.
