Sup guys. im new to this forum and need help with my car so decided to join.

I drive a 91 galant vr4. This is whats up. My wasteguage isn't opening. It close but will not open so my turbo is maxing out which i think may be killing the pistons. This one dude said that anything over 12psi should open the wasteguage, how do i test this out. I'm also new to 4g63t motors too so what do i have to do to fix this problem. Do i have to take off the turbo to replace a new wastegauge. Also my car tops out at 30 mhp and rev up to 2500 or 3000 only. Idle is rough until suddenly sometimes wastegauge decides to work again then you can run it for lil bit but goes back to tha same. help me out guys!

Its called a Wastegate. Internal Wastegate to be precise, but welcome there are a lot of people here that can help you.
Don't listen to people that have not had these cars or think they know about crap, it will just fuck you over.

Welcome and Good luck

It is also very important here to have good grammer, when you type. If you don't you will take a lot of crap.

+1 to the shift key.

Try looking around for a decent price used wastegate. You can get them from old blow 14b's if the wastegate its self is still in good order.
