i took the v band of my 14b, knocked the center section seprate from the exhaust side tapping it with a rubber mallot, then i broke the pin exhaust side off for lining up the center section (on purpose) and rotated it so my oil inlet was pointing at like a little before 12 o clock, before it was between 1 and 2 o clock, not sure why. anyways i have a low-hung turbo setup and i wanted to make sure the turbo oil would drain properly.
*this turbo spun freely prior to this

now, i can hold the turbo and spin it freely if i hold the metal piece behind the exhaust turbine firmly against the center section, but when i put the turbo back together and put the clamp back on and start tightening it, i check to see if it spins freely and it spins but not well, like somthings not sitting right. anyone have any suggestions or anyone thats rebuiilt one maybe have any tips?

It sounds like there is a little bit of the pin still there and the center sections is not sitting in the exhaust housing right.
