Job Description:
Accurately process invoices according to AP practices and procedures to ensure timely payment to suppliers.

Process non-PO invoices - understands backup and approval requirements.

Process PO invoices - understand matching and approval requirements.

Escalate issues/discrepancies to AP Lead or AP Manager.

Maintain files of processed invoices by vendors - either paper or electronic.

Provide backup support for other AP staff.

Additional Information:
Proficient keying skills and attention to detail.

Good customer communication skills.

Ability to learn and understand how to use systems/software for processing. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.

Ability to perform at expected metric levels on a consistent basis with a high level of accuracy.

Education:

Minimum - High school
Preferred - 2 to 4 years post high school
Experience
Prior AP processing experience.

Job Description
Manage the workflow of journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy of data. Ensure that all required journal entries are prepared and posted in the proper periods.

Ensure accruals, depreciation, allocations, interdivisional transfers, adjustments and reclassification of costs are made in accordance with GAAP. Reconcile and balance trial balance and the corporate investment accounts monthly.

Prepare, gather, and maintain status checklist of all account reconciliation's to meet monthly deadlines for completion.

Quarterly and at year-end complete tax and internal/external audit schedules and response to additional questions. Coordinate with the locations any items that they are required to provide in support of audits and taxes.

Provide required data to location controllers to support balance sheet reviews and other financial data as required by ATK management.

Provide work direction to student.
Additional Information
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Thorough understanding of GAAP/FAR.

Proficient at using Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable of other software applications as they relate to the general ledger and supporting systems.

Strict adherence to schedule/deadlines for monthly close.

Previous experience with budgeting and forecasting a plus.

Both of these sound really interesting, the first of the two sounds like exactly what I'm doing right now. I'll have to update my resume this week and get it submitted for both of these positions. What does their hiring timeframe look like?
