I have successfully installed my stage 2 TRE trans w/ Centerforce DF clutch and Fidanza FW! I have never been so happy. The car is really ugly right now due to sitting in my garage with a dirt floor. Its retardedly dirty as well as torn apart. Driver side is nice but the Passenger side is missing the skirts from the door forward and the mirror and doorhandle are being sent to get repainted. Clutch engages about 1-3 inches from the floor, and it is a little stiff to get into gear but thats because its a new trans. BG I in the trans and Redline in the X-fer case. Radiator hose had a hole in it and the shop didnt figure to fix that so I had to get it home and cut it down and retighten the mother on there. Also had a fuel leak on the rail so I had to clamp the hose onto the fitting.
Just some stuff that has happened to me during my tranny install. I'm thinking it must be too good to be true. I'm about to shat myself I'm so happy.

Is there a part # and price anyone might have for a boot on the driver side front axle hub? My rubber boot is torn and I dont want to buy one from the local shop, rather do my business from someone on here.

Anywhere I could get a quote on the axle and/or the 'cv joint?' I'm not positive on the correct name for it but I am down for replacing anything right now. Working on having a mint drivetrain.

Brookdale Mitsu is a sponsor of the board, they have their own section.

You don't want to just replace the boot, that doesn't work so well. A new axle from most parts places is around $75. I get mine from raxles.com. He's a nice guy, fair price and cheap shipping.

^Thanks. Sounds like a fair one. Reinstalling them suck or is it an ok job? Needany special tools, I'm sitting at work and dont have access to my manual.

Its not a bad job aslong as the axle isn't too rusted into the hub.

I've purchased custom axles from Raxles and Marty there was great to work with. I also purchased some regular stock replacements from Autozone for about $60.

Got mine from checker. Don't remember the price, but they were cheaper than Napa and AZ.

Yeah, my buddy's dad manages the Napa here so when he works there on the weekends when he's back from school he usually gives me a good price on stuff.
