I recently signed up for this site:

I had to look up some information for my own family and It's actually a pretty cool site. Has anyone ever used this site or something like it to find out more about their families past?

I have the account for another 10 days before it starts costing me money so if anyone wants anything looked up feel free to PM me or post it up here if they don't want the privacy. I'd look some stuff up periodicly as I have time.

My mom did a whole family tree about 10 years ago when she went back to school, a site like that would have really been useful! She had to do all her research through the library (oh no, not the library!).

What I learned: My great grandparents on my Mom's side emigrated from Poland and on my Dad's side an ex-US President is my great great...great Grandpa (hint: my middle name is a clue to who).

Sweet. My mom and grandma did a family tree like 8 years go. I think they traced our roots way the hell back to some Norweign explorer in like 800 AD or something crazy like that. I dont remember his name though or when he died, and he wasnt a famous explorer (I dont think) but it was still pretty interesting.
