Just throwing this out there in case anyone here has already done all the research, or has any input. I'm looking for some larger injectors and have been doing a lot of research. I was looking at FIC's 1600 injectors, which sell for 85/piece. But I'm always looking to find a deal. So I've been digging for alternatives.

Apparently that MNGSX guy off Tuners is running these Crown Victoria 150/160lb injectors. I also found him posting this in some biodiesel forums and what not too. So apparently they are working ok for him. I'm trying to find the best deal on these as I can. The only thing, is that I keep seeing similar part numbers, but they sometimes have 1 letter difference, and it gets kind of confusing. So if anyone has some solid part numbers that they know will work, please let me know. Here's what I've found so far...

FIC (http://www.fuelinjectorclinic.com/cart/mitsubishi.htm) 1600's=85/piece

I first started out with this part number, and these injectors. 74160
Summit (http://www.amazon.com/Accel-74160-Injector-160Lb-Hr/dp/B000CIEKVK/sr=1-9/qid=1165286985/ref=sr_1_9/002-9924207-9003204?ie=UTF8&m=A1MK3HAFHEKCQU&s=automotive)

Autozone (http://autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=C001&UserAction=performMoreDetail&Parameters=TRUE%7C%7EFuel+Injector%7C%7ENONE%7C%7E GP-SORENSEN%7C%7ENew+++++++++++++++++%7C%7EFALSE%7C%7 EFALSE%7C%7E112068%7C%7E3078%7C%7E800-1230N%7C%7EO.E.M.+%23F5TE-B5A%7C%7E%2487.99%7C%7EFord%7C%7ECrown+Victoria%7C %7E1997%7C%7E1+YR%7C%7E0.188%7C%7ENONE%7C%7EV) Then started finding all sorts of part numbers. Here they want like 87/injector which isn't much of a deal. So I moved on.

Then I found out the have them at Ford racing parts (http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=6020) for 275/set of 4.

Now, I'll just continue to list the rest of sites I've found. I haven't verified these part numbers yet, but here's what I've come across...

gefracing (http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=G&Product_Code=M9593E304&Category_Code=46INTAKE) 245/set of 4

PART NUMBERS CM4980, F5TE-B5A, XL3Z-9F593-CA(this is a part number I got directly from the local dealers part department), F5TZ-9F593-B5A,
https://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/mfr,MOTORCRAFT,FuelxxslashxxAir,6224,Fuel+Injector
apparently those are all the same basic part, just by different manufacturers, some with core charge... Looks like they have an injector that is as low as 31/injector with a core charge.

35/injector, again we see part number F5TZ-9F593-B5A

http://www.fuelinjectorsdirect.com/wizard/default.asp
65/injector, and again we see familiar part numbers such as F5TZ-9F593-B5A, and F5TE-B5A

PART NUMBER C1000-147879

OK, anywho, just trying to share a little of my research. I'm sure I'll get plenty of the "Why not skip it and just get the FIC ones". But I'm always looking for the deal, and doing things a lil against the norm. And like I said, I've already realised I'm not alone, one other person that I know of seems to be using these, and who knows how many more. Just looking for a cheap alternative. If anyone else has any info on this, please add to this. I'm just trying to sort out all the different part numbers. But from what I'm gathering, a lot of these part numbers, are in essance the same part, just some made by AC Delco, some made by GB-Sorenson, some by AirTek, etc.

Lots of people are using the Crown Vic injectors now, you just have to modify the tops and use your own o-rings. I last saw them at $31/each new or next to nothing used.

Wow! Thats great, how big does 150lb translate to in the metric system? Thank you Brandon, that is going to save me all kinds of money.

From what i have heard lately is that all the auto parts stores are out of the crown vic injectors, but Summit now has them for a decent price. I think it was $60 each.

Some modification to the top is needed and possibly some extra electronics to get them to fire correctly.

What exactly needs to be modified to the top?

Is the top just too big? Can you machine out the holes in the rail?

I found them at Summit for 67. Not too bad. But compared to these other sites that have them for like 30-40 a piece, that aint bad at all.

Well Jet you were right. I found a few places that were sold out, or had just 1 in stock. The Ford dealers want like 100 bucks per injector. Anywho I did find that one of the places I liked to earlier has them in stock, and ordered them. I spoke directly with one of the sales guys, and he made sure this was in fact the CNG stock replacement injectors, and apparently they have some more if anyone else is looking for more. He didn't tell me exactly how many more though. I got them from...
