I have a buddy who is trying to sell a 1991 supra CT26 turbo. Its got 38k miles on it. He bought a bigger turbo for his car and he wants to sell it for 100 bucks. Does anyone know if this would work for 1997 2g FWD GST?

They have some wierd flange on them, so no it will not work without some sort of adapter or something. But in any case, those turbo's weren't that great to begin with. I would pass..

I belive those are twin scroll turbos, so no it wont fit. Besides the flange is different.

Do you have a mr2?
No?
Then buy a mitsu turbo ;).
In all seriousness Speedfreak was right, the ct26 is a decent upgrade but you have much better ones that actually fit available to you.

the turbo your friend has would not fit your dsm. the ct26 you got there is the second version of the ct26 turbos. the earlier ct26 came on the st165. that one come from the mk3 ma70 supra. its more of a upgrade for the st165.
but not dsm.

I'm familiar with those turbos.. probably not the best choice for a dsm simply because of how many options are out there but CT-26's are one of the best factory turbos ever!! good for 310whp @ 13psi on my 87 supra
Uh-oh, here come the starquest guys talking about how their stock turbo is the best evar!!
