I know my friend with a WRX is running without a sway bar basically right now, you just get incredible body roll. I'm pretty sure it would be teh same with a DSM.
Good luck son and happy turkey day.

its just gonna cause more body roll and and less handling.

I'm driving my 2g w/o sway bar links. Actually I have been for a few months and it's fine. Yes there is some body roll but you get used to it (sadly). I am planning on getting some performance sway bars in the future, so I'm just leaving it how it is till then.

ya! the sway bar links are what i am having trouble with, the dam thing is striped so i cant get it apart from the arm, and i cant find my dam vise grips! it's only the passenger side thats giving me hell!

Break out the hack saw and buy some links...It's the only way. Next time, stick a screwdriver in behind whatever wrench you use to hold it in place so it does not slip as you tighten/loosen the nut on the other side.
