I have some wheels that need some tlc. The issue is that It's a rather rare type of color (volk bronze) and so who can get a hold of the color? I assume they try to match it as close as possible. Also, where locally can a person take these wheels to get re-coated, since I wouldn't want to ship them? thanks.

Paint or Powder coat. Your post says get them "re-coated" which says powdercoating to me.

Anyway, I have resurrected a set or 2 of wheels in my day. What all needs to be done, curb rash, or just chipped paint/powdercoat?

Also, how much of a dealbreaker is the exact match of the bronze? I got some wheel paint at checker that is a really nice metallic bronze (the applebees crew can vouch for this) but I have no idea where it compares to volk's bronze.

Let me know the answers to these questions and I can help you a lot more.

There is some curb/rim lip paint missing/chipped off. Also, the 3 wheels that are there looked to have hte celar coat or something comming off..looks likea milky coating on the wheels. I think they need to be cleaned, and repainted the volk bronze. I'll hafta get a new 4th wheel, and color match them all, then re-order the volk stickers and put them on, to match it all, and make them look stock again.

Well, if it needs to match volk bronze, you might be kinda screwed. Call professional powdercoating places and see what they can do, color matching to a certain brand is something that someone has probably had to do.

If you can't find anyone, and decide to go with another bronze, let me know.

Im pretty sure a paint shop will repaint your rims for you. The paint that lays on cars is the same as some on the wheels?

Hey just give me a call and ill hook you up with some paint. I can match that color easily, if its just a gold, even easier if theres no metallic. You wont need more then a pint if you decided to paint them. We can knock that projcet out in a day for a small price if ya want. Let me know, plus we still need to figure out when were going to paint that beast.
