Ive been looking to get a 1g dsm or gvr4 for a while now. Have any of you guys had experience with modded dsms in the winter? do you know if a 1g dsm or a gvr4 would be better in snow/handling?
Im 20 and i work at the Circuit City in Burnsville, car audio section. I have a very crappy hyundai accent right now which has suprisingly lasted this far.

Welcome! DSM's and VR4's are awesome in the snow. I even drove my 1G with summer tires on it for most of one winter, and it behaved very well! Modded cars do fine through the winter, just keep off the gas and go easy on the brakes, just like any other car.

I currently drive my car, and I also mod it every chance I get. Right now, I'm stocking up parts so springtime, I can take a weekend and throw it all at the car, and sell what's on it.

Toss some snow tires on it and it'll be practically unstopable.

Yep, AWD + Winter Wheels rocks in the winter.
Good luck with the dsm when you get it.

You'll stop a lot better with snow tires than you will with regular tires.

You couldn't be more wrong actually. Snow tires with stop FAR quicker on ice/snow than regular all-seasons will.

I think he means putting snow tires on any car, there wont be a difference with dsms, etc stopping. AWD vs FWD downshifting will help alot though, so yea stopping will be better.
