What did you do about the sensor that is usually located on top of the stock manifold? Do i need to get a 3 bar GM Map Sensor, or can i disconnect it and leave it off (at least for the time being.)
Also i didnt see where you put the other Plug, the one that is usually right next to the Coilpack. (looks a lot like the MAF sensor plug.)

That sensor at the top you are referring to is your Manifold differential sensor. I took it off and the wire harness for that just hangs unused. As for the other plug you are referring to that normally goes by the coil pack, i'll get you a picture of where i put it but it won't be until late. I have to leave shortly from work to goto a wedding rehearsal (not me). I will post a picture sometime late tonight.

Here is another picture of the coil pack holder.

Your 710 cap is on upside down.
Nice looking engine bay!! (its way off topic, but looks good).
Tom, you don't need the factory map sensor.

"710" oil cap... LOL, I like that one :) That's an old photo from earlier in the summer. It's not that way now. I got crap about this once before on here a few months back. Anyway, thanks for the comments guys. I spent alot of time on the car. It pays to have a large shop like ours too that has CNC machines and tons of other machinery including a room of floor standing buffers. I'll probably run another special over the winter on shaved valve covers.

Here is 2 pictures of what I did what that connector that's normally by the coil pack. I mounted it to the bottom manifold bolt(passenger side). It's clean and works perfectly. I don't know where other people put theirs. The magnus project is one mod that creates about 5 other mods!

One other mod that i can think of is that you have to extend the coolant hoses that goto your throttle body.

Super Bleeder!!

So My car is finally running!!!
A very wierd think happened. it wouldnt start, and i couldnt figure it out.
It would try to start but then instantly die. I looked down to what i thought was sparks by the manifold, but it turned out to be flames going by the heat barrier gasket, which was telling me that it was getting gas and getting spark.
i was racking my brain wondering why the flames were going up into there, but realised it was probebly timing. Which made no sence because i didnt touch the timing belt.
my last thought which was more of a "Fuck it, why not?" thought was to reverse the spark plugs completly
So if this was the coil pack before (keep in mind i have to switch 1 with 4 and 2 with 3)
|O O| |O O|
4 1 2 3
It would now be marked:
|O O| |O O|
2 3 4 1
So the two coil packs were reversed
Sure enough the bastard fired right up. I dont know how or why this went like this but hey, im not gonna argue as long as my car is running.
The only explaination i have is if when i unscrewed the coil pack from the mounting plate then i screwed it back on facing the other way. but still that doesnt make much sence because then the holes wouldnt line up for the screws (theres 3 screws per pack)
But oh well the car is runnign and im happy again, i havent had a chance to test drive it but ill see how she drives tomorrow.
Thanks again for all of the help guys.
Tom
