Auto-parallel parking

Has anyone else seen all the commercials for the new Lexus that parallel parks itself? Seems like a pretty good idea for those who can't park well (most people it seems like).

Anyone know how it works, does it put the car in reverse, park, etc for you automatically?

Actually my buddy who works at lexus told me about it. It controls the steering, and I believe you control the brake. It also has a brake hold button, so when you stop at a light, you hit the button, and it holds the brakes so you can rest your foot, or rummage through the shit in the backseat if you so choose.

this will be great for the bitches who cant even drive while on a cell phone. They will some how find a way to parellel park the car at 70mph into the gaurd rail. Cant wait to see this.

I think its kinda cool, I am sure a lot of people said this same stuff about cruise-control when that was first introduced....along with power steering, power brakes, the invention of seat belts, etc.
