Have you tried a different scanner?

No, I havnt yet but the scanner works on my other cars, I thought maybe the scanner was out of juice or sumthen. Does anybody know of a main relay that has to do with the ecu getting power.

If the fuse to your ECU isnt working then your car wouldnt start and there would be no check engine light. Try a different scanner.

pop open your ecu box and check if the caps are leaking, when they leak tons of stupid things happen, its a 15 min diagnosis and an easy enough fix

Meaning you have a hardwire feeding your ECU constant power? I think you just solved your own problem.
