I have Ground Controls which I'm not too impressed with. They ride well, but they were a pain to get everything seated right. If you don't get a true coilover you have to get shocks and coilovers seperately. I'd highly recommend paying a few extra dollars and getting some true coilovers, all one piece, like the teins and be done with it. It'll save you the hassle of certain pieces not fitting right and all that bs. One of my ground controls is warped and all 4 are a bitch to adjust ride height. If you do decide that the one piece true coilovers are too much and you don't plan on adjusting ride height, then I'd recommend the Eibach pro-kit and some koni or tokico illumina shocks. And DON'T BUY EBAY COILOVERS.. junk. Don't forget a camber kit, depending on how low you wanna drop the car. It'll save your tires.

I have Ksport coilovers on my 1G awd, and they are pretty nice so far. The quality of the product is pretty good! I have heard good things about the 2G Apexi/Megan Racing coilovers (they are identical, literally) and can be found on ebay for relatively cheap.

GroundControls suck.

The Megan coilovers would be a good choice for the money. A decent spring/shock combo will be cheaper and more comfortable on the street, while a true coilover will perform better (if properly setup).
