Here's his quote right outta the post, to make it easier on you.

On 1G cars the fuel pump doesn't start running until you turn the key to start not just turning the key on. That's a function of the FP side of the MPI relay getting power from the starter circuit to activate the pump via one of the relay windings. The other winding on that side is for the ECU to use once it sees the car turning over to keep the pump running once you release the starter.

maybe you gotta slight leak somewhere, so you're pressure is a little low? Injector O-Rings, fuel pump O-Rings, fuel rail O-Rings?

If thats true brandon then the only other thing to try is to use a logger and run the pump manually and then try and start the car. See if priming the system that way helps at all.

I have a logger at home we can use once I get home if you want, and try that. Should be home by next weekend.

Giving the key a quick flick to "START" so the fuel pump turns on, and then actually trying to start it once the fuel pump has run makes it start much more quickly.

You can also manually ground the check connector under the hood and it activates the pump. It's right next to the wiper motor on 1G's, a female spade connector covered in plastic.

Injector o-rings are new. I replaced them myself. I lubed the fuel feed with a non-oil based lube(sylglyde(sp?)) when I replaced them so they should be good.
