Just to let you know I’m kind of new to the DSM thing, anyway I was driving down the road boosted up 2nd gear and the started to smell oil burring then I seen smoke, so I pulled over, the HG was not blown but there was oil all over and the dipstick was sticking up. Is it the PCV valve or what??

Blowby, common on any DSM. Plus the o-ring on your dipstick is dry and shot. You can get a new dipstick from Brookdale Mitsu for a few sheckels.

Nope not your problem, crimp the rod where the dipstick goes into a little bit so its tighter and it will solver your problem. This is very common on DSMs. Don't worry.

The dipstick has always popped up even after it was crimped, but today it blew up and shot oil everywhere.

Hapens on my car a lot. It's just a pain when you have to check your oil, but i would find some way to "Fix" it in there so it's hard to get out, but not impossible. I may be picking up new dipstick soon.

Just a warning if you crimo the top of the dipstick it will hold the dipstick great at first but after using the dipstick alot it will chew into the rubber and then you be in my boad were i get blowby even with the stick in

Spend the insane amount of $15 to get a new dipstick. The rubber seal hardens over time.

Yeah. Get the new dipstick. I crimped mine. It made it worse. I made it kind of an oval and it just went out the sides.
