I've just recently installed a EVO3 turbo w/ 2g install kit from extremepsi.com into my '99 spyder gst and running stock boost from the factory BCS but for some reason it doesn't hold 10psi but would rather go 15+ on which I would stop gas when I see it hit 15. This is gonna sound noobish but I was wondering how the vaccuum lines from the BCS should be hooked up. Its been awhile since I used the stock BCS. I have the TOP nipple of the BCS going to the intake, while the BOTTOM nipple of the BCS going to the turbo wastegate. Could the BCS also be bad?

my mods:
upper and lower intercooler piping w/ ssqv bov
3in catback exhaust
evo3 turbo
air/fuel & boost gauge
apexi safc - settings still at 0
etc...

It can boost creap even if I'm using the factory BCS?

Guess I'll just have to order a boost controller when I get paid and hope that will resolve my boost issue.

What are you running for an o2 housing?

I'm using the factory 2g o2 housing at the moment.

Sounds to me like you have bad boost creep, you should at the very least be running a ported 2G o2 housing, preferably a ported EVOIII or tubular. Get a MBC on there too to simply everything and take advantage of your new turbo.

Is your turbo ported or is it a stock EVOIII 16G?

Looks like I'll have to keep an eye out for an evolll o2 housing for sale but until then port my factory one a little I guess. And a boost controller will be on its way as soon as I get paid :D

The evo3 turbo I have is stock at the moment, didn't have time to port it since i had to drop it in for it was my only way of transportation to and from work.

I think your cheapest bet would be a tubular o2 housing from eBay, i see lots on there hovering around $100 BIN.

You should bypass the factory BCS to get the lowest possible boost.

Okay thanks, I'll have to look into that.

How do you do that?
