Ahh, Where was Tachyon before? Now I might have some progress! Time to start all over. Got the TRE stage 2 yesterday in the mail.

Ironically the guy I was talking to about taking a loan out to repair my car used to own a 2g TSi. He said it was a tranny killer thats why he had gotten rid of it.

Not to jack this thread but, I'm having a hell of a time getting the axles out of the Transmission. Screwdriver between the tranny and the axle? Matter which side is first?

Drivers side is bolted to the block. Once you unbolt it, it should fall right out. You will probably need something bigger than a screwdriver to pop out the passenger side axle.

Transmission is in. I got 2 problems it stutters at 4 1/2 to 6 grand wich i think would be the fuel filter and its grinding in 5th gear and i got to hold it hard in 5th to drive it in 5th do i just need to adjust the cables or what its a remanufactured transmission from mitsubishi graveyard.

Just curious. How far off the floor is the clutch pedal when it is engaging?

I dont know anything about mitsubishi graveyard but I have read on Sheps site that a few hundred mile period is usually required for the trans to feel perfect. I know shep isnt mitsu graveyard but i figure that since both are rebuilds the symptoms could be similar.

Also, not really related probably but what fluid are you using?
