No start/Wierd Electrical Issue

My buddy has a 95 gs with an auto for a DD and when he goes to start it it will start somethimes but kills and the only lights that show are the srs, seatbelt, and the oil light. The only time that it does start is when the other lights show up including the check engine and the radiator. Any ideas here. Maybe the computer or something??

Does he have an after market alarm or push button locks.

Sometimes when I try to turn on my car it won't do anything. I take the key out and press the unlock button and then it starts right up.

It was the ECU that was bad and runs good after the new install now.
