It connects us to others in the industry, gives consumers and peers alike a means to communicate with us, and gives us a voice in regards to some of the issues related to the automotive aftermarket. It also shows our commitment, and for me it it a symbol of quality and innovation...

You should go to SEMA. I've been a member, and have been to the last 6, and am going this year. It is by far the most amazing event I've ever been to. Only problem is, after that show, everything else sucks. I actually got light headed from shear awe.:)

Yeah, I wish I could go again. I went with the NABR boys a few years ago and saw some sweet stuff. I met Courtney Hansen and almost got knocked over by Hulk Hogan, and got propositioned by a 90 lb hooker with a gold tooth. She was actually pretty hot, but I stayed away, my roomies didn't though. :D
