On the news it says Rogers got hit really bad. Lots of damage everywhere and I think a 10 year old girl died.

A few people on here live up there, anything damage?

Meh. We where down on uni last night, came up to lexington/blaine-ish area, checked in with adam's family, then headed towards my place. My car was parked in the street at the time, and our streets usually flood with heavy rain(along with the seals on my damn car). So, as we get into maple grove, we thought we saw fog everywhere. Turns out it was a wall of rain-strangest thing. The further into MG we got, the more concerned we got. Cher didn't want hail to damage the evo, so we tried to hurry. I got into my car, just as it really started to come down. I got gas, we headed back down to uni, and chilled till 1am when it all cleared up. I get home, and it was still sorta flooded, and sprinkling. As for everywhere else, it seems there was no real damage in my area..some things blown a bit, but nothing bad. I know Shane and them where still up at the shop last night when it hit, so I'm waiting to hear what he says.

I was up at Allan's last night when the storm rolled through and we all hopped in the car later on and went to check out the damage. All we saw were a couple broken windows on shops, about 5 power poles that were knocked over, a downed tree or two and a bunch of wooden fencing that was completely gone.

Here's a 15 second exposure picture I took last night. I took a ton more, but alot of them didn't get any lightning strike like this one. This was in Bloomington looking north.

The lightening around 10PM was nuts, ive never seen so much lightening in my life. In one second there were maybe 5 strikes, and it just kept doing that.

Rogers is tore up!

About 200 homes damaged, and 50 of those pretty much a total loss. 1 girl has died and several more are in the hospital. There was no warning and was just pretty wicked event for a lot of people last night. We live in the area that should of been hit as well, but the heavy winds skipped us by about a mile.

I can't tell which housing development was hit the hardest in Rogers, but I know Curt lives right in one of them just up from the Rogers Middle School (Site of the '06 Cookout). They had power poles snapped in half and it was a mess. I really hope they made it out of that mess without any problems.

It just missed us here at the shop. We could see it causing hell and then skitting by us.

I got woken up in my hotel here in Omaha to go to the basement. It wasn't too bad though, got to join in on the festivities down there since there was a wedding reception going on! We had a tornado touch down though just outside Omaha.

I was thinking the same thing about the lightning here in Blaine. It was the first time I've seen so much lightning. I heard about the storm hitting hard around Minneapolis, Brooklyn Park to Blaine, but it wasnt that bad here in Blaine. Just a bit windy, lots of lightning and some mild rain. I didnt know Rogers got hit that hard!
