Ok... heres the deal....

My CIVIC and EX (yea i own a civic  ) badging on the back of my car came off from a powersprayer @ CENEX. Now there is some black kinda solid gunk still remaining on my car. Its the stuff that held it on. I was wondering if there is a special way of getting it off w/o hurting the paint. I put some GOO GONE on but it didn't do n e thing...

NE SUGGESTIONS???

buy a new car.

No, I had some stuff, I forgot the name...3M adhesive remover. Try that. Or else just buy a new badge to stick over it.

Yeah 3m general purpose adhesive remover works good, or you can get "the eraser" which is pretty much a large pencil eraser with a shank to put it in a drill, and that works very good(and fast, like 30 secs).

I would use the 3M stuff Eric suggested.

razor blade, used this for months, when I detailed cars, never scratched paint.
BTW use a plastic razor blade ;)

Goo-Gone should work, assuming it doesn't damage paint. Works well getting sticker residue and gum off of almost all surfaces.
