Hey,
Just a quick question that i need to know right away...

In detail how do you bypass the clutch safety switch in a 2g, so that i dont have to push in the clutch to get it to start.
I would think it would be as simple as taking the plug out and connecting a wire from one pin on the plug to the other to essentially create a constant connection on the wires.
Anyone know if there is another way or if im missing something?
This will likely correct my problems with starting my car.
Thanks a lot guys.
Tom

what kind of problems is having the clutch in causing? If that is causing problems, then you're probably already crankwalking.

There is a little plug near the clutch pedal linkage... you've gotta crawl under your dash and look up to see it, should be pretty obvious. If not I think there was a thread with a picture in it on dsmtuners somewhere, search and i bet you'd find it quick.

All I did was unplug it, no re-wiring needed.

Im not having any problems with the clutch peddle, just the switch. It unlikely that my car would be crankwalking, its a 6bolt. (yeah i know they do that too but not as much)
Do you know what i would search for on tuners? Im just trying to disable that switch.

Ok just went out to my car and did that but it didnt fix the problem so now im completly clueless.

Heres what ive tried thusfar...
Replaced a relay right near the ignition (the car is an alpine alarm)
Jumped the car
Replaced an ignition fuse that blew (under the hood)
Replaced any fuse that i saw was blown.
made sure that the wires were not grounding out
unhooked the brain box of the alarm.
Made sure that the starter motors neg and positive were hooked up. (i havent checked the voltage yet on it though)

None of these things worked, still when i turn on the ignition the radio and everything works, then when i try and start it, the radio shuts off and the starter doesnt even turn on or anything. just nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Checking voltage is the first one. How many fuses did you find blown?

I found just the ignition one under the hood and one that was next to the battery not sure what it went to but was likely the alarm. and i think there was one under the dash also going to the alarm.
Do you guys think that this may be the alternator? i would think that jumping it would have made it at least try to turn over, but im getting nothing no matter what i do.
