View Full Version : Labor Day Weekend Re-Cap!
So who did what in what some call the last full weekend for fun on the summer?
I never did get to the fair this year either, and even though I thought I wanted to and woudl be mad about missing it, I didn't miss it at all. I spent the weekend playing some cards, and basically having a very relaxed weekend.
I'm looking forward to Fall now, potentioal DSM ownership in the near future, and more house hunting.

Spent the entire weekend working on the M. Took the exhaust out, am getting the cats removed and replaced with straight piping. Two manifold to DP studs decided to snap in half so I had to take the manifolds off and they are at red rooster now being take out.
Had to replace a control arm bushing, which is super fun without the "proper" tools to press it back onto the control arm on the car. But I got it.
Replaced the fuel filter.
Took the front rotors off to get turned, stupid germans decided to put a hex bolt holding the rotor to the hub... so one of them was stripped and I had to drill it out. What fun..
It should be back together this weekend though.
Im loving this weather though, nice and cool! Four day work weeks rule too.

Ripped all through the countryside in the Evo: drove all the way to my hometown in Fergus Falls and back, Anna and turbo comfy as can be next to me. Tore around town with some old friends, worked on my parent's yard for a while, checked out some investment property that is right next to theirs while driving mini bikes (while wearing sandles and shorts, woot!), and then did the end-of-summer cleanup at my family's cabin.

4 day weeks are awesome!
I rocked out with Peter in his garage Friday night and we destroyed a S2k shift knob (so close to perfection though....we'll get it next time!) before heading out for some Shark Tanks in Uptown. Then Satuday afternoon I left for Fargo, ND and stayed there until Monday afternooon when I came back and had dinner in Dinkytown with the family.
I ended my weekend helping a cute little blonde with here BMW as well. I never did look to see what it was, but it was really nice. After we met Mark in Eden Prarie for a bite to eat we went over to Wal-Mart and this girl asked Jana if she could ask me a quesion. That was funny in itself. She then asked if I knew anything about cars. I didn't have the heart to tell her everyone else says I don't. :) She had pulled in due to overheating. She was about to fill up every fluid she had (oil and antifreeze). She had some 50/50 mix stuff so we put that in just to get her by, she was definatly low. Told her she was fine on oil though. Felt kinda good to help someone out like that, she was obviously worried about the car. Did I mention she was pretty freaking hot. I was waiting for Jana to ask her if she knew anythig about hot tubs and if she would swing over to check out the one at the house we where staying at. ;)
And I had a 4 day week last week (Fri off), 4 day week this week (Mon off), and 4 day week next week (Fri off). Just my good old reg scheudle! Woot!

Started my weekend with dinner with the crew from LSE and family for my birthday. Then they went go-karting...back to the house for cake
Then the guys went to play poker at Allen's. Then just hung around the house and watched it rain...Then on Monday went up north for the day, it was very nice out. Now it's back at LSE for the rest of the week....Then it's another LSE Birthday on Saturday.
