I really don't find it depressing, I view it as a goal to work towards. Despite what a lot of people think, the majority of those executives have worked very hard to get to where they are at and have made a beneficial impact on the company. Do they deserve their compensation? A lot of stockholders seem to think so.

To make X salaries are goals but to achieve them. You will need to network and do allot of butt kissing.:D

I work for an ESOP company ;) Sure you start out shitty, but the better you do, the longer you stay.. the more money you get in the end! I think ESOP is the best way to run a company. That way, when people realize that if they break this or that, or steal that.. or sit around and do nothing; they are just hurting themselves in the end. I'm hoping for a respectable raise at my yearly review. A dollar or more would be nice..
