I've got money to spend. Any one have experience with 1G coilovers? (JIC FLTA2, Tein SS, Ksport/D2). I'm looking at the Ksport/d2 mainly cause of price, but the Tein is only slightly more and may be better quality. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Stay away from JIC, they have known build quality and quality control issues. I'd actually take the Ksport coilovers over the Tein's; Tein's cheaper line of coilovers aren't too impressive and you're mainly paying for the name and the green paint.

S2kracka Is ground control good? If not then I'll go with Ksport also, was saving for teins... thanks!

I had GroundControls and to be honest they are kinda junk. All they are is a coil spring on a threaded perch; you still need to purchase aftermarket shocks to use them. By the time you purchase the GC's and some nice AGX shocks you might as well just spend a bit more and get a real compete coilover setup.
For you 2G guys, Megan has a nice street-coilover kit for under $1000 so that is worth checking out.
Coilovers, a new rear antisway bar, and a front strut tower brace equal a great handling DSM (assuming you get it aligned and lowered properly). If you are truely hardcore, a set of poly bushings make quite a difference aswell, but they are a real PITA to install.

I have a 2gen but i have tokico gas shocks (high end) and skunk2 coilovers. In the end it cost just under the cost for some of the high end Tien shocks. If you shop good.

Your Tokicos and Skunk2s didn't cost over $3000 ;) Your setup would put you right inline with the low-end Tien pricing.

Teins are top notch quality and have great customer service every time I've dealt with them Kevin. KSport and D2 are cheaper quality but I've heard they at least stand behind their product when it does fail. There are other coilovers called HotBits that seem to do well with some southern 1g owners I've spoken with.

I thought the high in was around 1500.
Guess not right
You got owned if you paid $1,500 for Tokico's and Skunk2's.
