Anyone that has aftermarket fans in their 2G wired up, what is the proper wiring scheme? Here's the wire options:

Blue
Black
Blue-white
Blue-black

I had a minor melt-down which resulted in some toasted wires, leaving it impossible to see how they were wired up before. :) I can't seem to find the correct combo, and my multimeter is hosed. I checked all of my fuses and relays, all work fine.

If you are running all 4 wires to one fan...
Connect Blue and Blue/white together and the black and blue/black together.

That seems to be general concensus of a good way to wire it from all else I've read; I also tried blue/white to blue/black and a ton of other combinations, but my FFing fans will not turn on at all. If I hardwire them to the battery, they all start fine, but any combination of these existing wires does not work at all :(

Again, I've checked all the relays and fuses, all are in proper working order.

your ECU is what "tells" your fans to turn on by getting info from the temp sensor. Are any of those bad?

Maybe, I'll have to replace a few I guess. :(

4 wires? i have 2 blue and black, i just soldered them both to the main fans circuit. I have a 1g so i don't know if its a different wiring circuit.
One thing did cross my mind tho, when i have the AC on the ac fan wont come on when it sends the signal but then i thought if the radiator gets to hot its gonna turn on the fans anyways. sorry if this doesn't help.

Or what you could do is bring the car somewhere and have them hook up a scan tool and try to turn the fan on. Maybe one of the wires is messed up.

The AC butten on the DSMs should turn that AC fan on. Regardless of the temp of the engine. I have done this before on a 91 N/t Galant. But go to vfaq.com and see if you can find a diagram of the wires...look it up on the manual CD.

haha should of looked to see if she loged her self out....
