I have met a lot of friends off of this site... Either way, at some point in time everybody is "new". And the only way to meet new people that have the same interests as you is to come out and hang out with us.
Yup, I didn't know anybody off of style back in the day when it first started (think body kits ;) ). I remember hearing on the old MIAC board how people hung out at the Spin Cycle out on University and decided to check it out. While there I met CVD, Hughes, and Cher. They introduced me to others, and the rest is history.
I guess I'm trying to say if you don't show up to events (or show up and keep to yourself) you'll never get to know anyone.

With a few exceptions, all the friends I've made on either this board or other DSM boards have gone on to become much better/closer friends than those I met while in college.

PS - What noob here has shown up when I was there, and I didn't say hello to? I try to say hey to most of the people I've never met.
I've been at a few things and I dont think you've ever said hello to me? Most people haven't though, its cool. I'm not loud or a hot 18 year old :)

That's because you show up late everytime, and go right to the very end of the table. I've seen you, but never had a chance to say hey since you're always kinda far away.

Shut up Chris!
It's going to be quite disappointing not to be able to attend any more events or parties.

At least with me, sometimes I don't really want to go without my DSM. I dunno if others are like that, I mean I still go sometimes with my piece of shit (lol not the dsm).
