Has anyone ever had a problem with theirs if they have one? My cousin has gone through a few of these and just going for a joy ride today I think I just went through a nother one. My voltmeter doesn't show a charge greater than 11.1 and at idle it is aroung 10.4-10.5.

Aftermarket alternators are generally junk. Get your stocker rebuilt by a reputable place, it's under $100.

Ive had nothing but problems with aftermarkets. first one went out in less then a year second one the regulator went out and it would run 16-20 volts. My ECU didnt like that mutch. Ive been running a stocker I bought off of hear with no problems now.
Watch the RPM that they are meant to run. Many of them need a smaller pulley so they don't run too fast.

Checker sells a pretty nice one with a lifetime warranty, its spendy without a shop discount though ($245/$95).

Uhh, a smaller pulley on the alternator would make it run faster. I think you mean a smaller crank pulley, which I haven't heard of for our cars. Or a larger alternator pulley. :p
Doh, my bad. I meant a larger alternator pulley.
