I need a weldable bung for my IAT sensor. 3/8npt. Anyone know where I can get one?

I think I got mine at an Ace hardware store.

Yea. Just take your o2 sensor, and bring over to the hardware store and match up the threads on a bolt. Then just weld that on. =D

There are a few problems with that. It is for an IAT sensor, not an O2 sensor and a bolt isn't going to work well for a bung. I am guessing you meant a nut, but that won't work for an NPT thread.

What did you buy jet? do they sell bungs or did u get something else that worked. Also if you remember what part of the store was it in(plumbing?)?

Yeah, plumbing and I got a piece that had a female 3/8" NPT end on it, then cut it off and used that.

Do they have aluminum? Because Its being welded to the TB elbo so Im assuming you cant weld steel to aluminum(correct?).

I doubt they will have aluminum. I put mine in the UICP right before the elbow, then it is stainless and can be welded.

I think I have an aluminum bung somewhere. If you want a steel one, you can get a steel bung from the hardware store and cut it in half. It'll probably be galvanized steel though. I believe the thread is 3/8 NPT.
