View Full Version : Just my stupid ass luck...
Or if you can start the car while its stuck in gear, then obviously the clutch is OK. So push the clutch in and have someone else push.

The car would start, but the clutch doesnt fully disengage. Its ok rigth now its in the garage
That wouldnt have mattered, just start it up when you push it. If anything it'd only be helping.

Deng, sounds kinda similar to my problem right now. It's stuck in gear, and won't come out. But atleast I can push the clutch in, and roll the car around. So far I've found a broken shift fork, and a broken slider.

Yeah Tom you can send him the core and he can fix it for more money of course. I am pretty sure he usually goes over them with a fine tooth comb anyway. If your going to do it I would just do it big the first time and make it strong and then you won't have to worry about it.

We had a problem a few years ago that the clutch wouldn't come out of gear. It was a few weeks after we got our 1st dsm. We were just driving down the road and the car was stuck in second and wouldn't come out. It ended up being a shattered clutch disk. It had a new clutch and everything a year before and the place that did the clutch wouldn't back it.

I just went through the exact same thing a month ago and now here i sit 3 or 4 thousand later in the process of a stage 2 from tre. Id check with them if i were you as well. they seem good in price and service. I am now in the process of a 6 bolt swap, tranny, and forged from the bottom up. It will be ready for the years to come HP.

Ok so i got the tranny out. :)
Im really thinking that the transmission gears are fine. when i opened the smaller cover (not sure what it was but its on the end of the tranny.) and the gears look perfect, not a scratch on them.
I managed to pry the big cover up a little and there is just a minor scrach in one of the gears, but nothing too major.
The fluid from the tranny looked pretty clear, there was a full 3 quarts and it wasnt clumpy or anything but im positive there is a problem with the thing that engages the gears. (? shift fork). when i shake the tranny a little i can hear a rattle like a peice broke off and is rolling around in there.
So i am gonna take the transmission to a repair shop and see if they can fix it. I know the tranny is relativly new so im not gonna send it to shep just yet. But i am hoping that a transmission shop will fix it for relativly cheap being that the tranny is already out of the car and it shouldnt need any gears. Im gonna prolly have to take a day off so that i can watch them take it apart and make sure they only fix what needs to be fixed. (really dont feel like getting screwed in the ass)
The flywheel has some pretty deep scratches in it so i may end up getting that resurfaced.
