Jana and I got back from Vacation last night. We went down to the Nashivlle area with her parents for a few days. A last minute trip that was very much needed. We left MN Tuesday night for IA. On Wed morning we headed for the NAshville area. About 12 hours of driving and we where just outside Nashivlle in the town of Clarksville. Anyway, Nashville was once again (I had been there once before for work) awesome. We visited the Hermitage (Andrew Jacksons Plantation home), grabbed a bite to eat downtown, and then hit the Jack Daniels Distillery. We also made our way into Alabama to check out the "unclaimed baggage" store. That was fucked up. People buying other peoples worn panties just isn't right. But hey, I won't judge. Made our way to Chattanooga to see the famous "choo choo" model rail road. That was fucking awesome. We also drove to the top of lookout mountian. Again, very cool shit, awesome sights, worth every mile of the trip. From there we took another route home through St Louis and toured the Budweiser Brewery and the St Louis Arch. Again, 2 very sweet things to do. Got back into IA Sunday afternoon, and got back into MN later Sunday evening.
Overall was a great trip, and the only downfall was that I had to bail on the Summer Bash @ DB. I'll try to have some pics up soon once we get them developed and get some back from her parents as well. Some of the pics are just awesome. And definatly want to make the trip again to live up some of Nashvilles night life and see more since there is a ton to do there.
The only downfall was that it was record temps that week. 104 with 40-50% humidity. It was HOT!
