Many of you know that one of my closest friends and senior member on here has MS (please don't post or ask his name as he doesn't like to publicize it). I am going to be doing the MS River Run to raise money to find a cure for MS on Aug. 19th and 20th. They raised $115,000 last year.

It is a motorcycle ride from St. Paul to La Crosse. I need to raise $200 per person (I am covering all the other fees). Hopefully I can come up with enough donations for 2 people. All of this money gets donated to MS research.

You can paypal money to jet_mn@yahoo.com .

If anyone else has ideas for other ways to raise money, please post them.

Is that the lightning run?

No, it is the River Run. I am really surprised by the lack of support. Maybe I need to clarify a bit more.

I need people to put up a pledge for me, all proceeds will go to MS research. This is like the MS bike-a-thon that they do. We have already recieved quite a few pledges from family members. 100% of the money goes to MS research.

I'll send you some money this afternoon or tomorrow. I did the MS150 earlier this year, and I was really impressed with the way that the MS Society puts on an event. Everything was very professional and seemed to go off without a hitch. Plus it's a worthy cause too.

Very funny.... yeah, I can send money to you as well. I usually only do a donation to one person each year, but I didn't realize you were doing that this year.

I tried to do it last year, but I already had other plans. It is a go for this year though!

Thanks for the support y'all!

I haven't received any support on this yet. I expected a bit more suport since someone many of us know is affected by this. This is 100% tax deductible and I can provide a receipt to anyone. This is put on by the National MS Society. I have to pay for hotel and entry fee besides the $400 mandantory donations, so it would be nice if I could get the $400 covered, all of which goes to the MS Society. We are right around $200 right now.

I know some of you will chip in, even $10 helps, and I appreciate the support.
