I got a J-pipe from dejontool and i ordered the intercooler piping off of ebay, it was a universal 2.5 inch aluminum kit it came with two 90 degree rubber couplers and 6 straight couplers and 16 t-clamps, there's tons of piping left over but i needed different couplers. I welded a custom crash bar to protect the intercooler from the obvious, the crash bar also acts as a bracket for the bumper to keep it from flying around.

The cost of this was $100 evo 8 FMIC(local), $120 shipped universal piping(ebay), $75 shipped couplers (siliconeintakes.com), $9 1g bov flange (ebay), $90 j-pipe (dejontool), Total: $394 i'd add about $20 in misc supplies nuts and bolts ect.

i also plan on doing ducting since it can potentially increase the performance by 40%

Looks good. Whats ducting? Would anyone have any idea if having a fan pulling air through the front mount would help if you could manage to get the fins in there? Or would it be wasted effort?

Looks good from what I can see. What does the custom made bumper weigh compared to stock?

A fan would help at idle, but then again you shouldn't be pushing hot air at idle. Well I'm going to use plastic or Plexiglas and a hot glue gun to manipulate more air through the intercooler at high speeds. Here (http://www.automotivearticles.com/Ducting.shtml) is a related link for radiators but the same concept applies to intercoolers.

Wow, that looks pretty decent man! No trips to home depot though? I'm dissapointed... ;)

I still have to tap a boost port for my mbc. I don't like the home depot they never have the bolts I'm looking for (mostly metric). I go to my local hardware store, they always have what I'm looking for and I don't have to walk for 20 min from the entrance to the right section.

finally got everything running, the intake temps on the stock intercooler at idle were 130* now there around 100* thats great, i'm having overheating problems tho, i have a slim fan but i need another one, i was thinking about a hyabusa 6" fan i hear they move a ton of air.

Here is a pic of the final product. I didn't bead any of the piping so i may do that if i get some problems with the couplers blowing off, i already blew one off but i know its because i forgot to tighten it down good.
