Ok, so I got 95 2 piston calipers for my 90 TSI AWD. I thought I was going to have to use the 2g flexible lines but the 1g ones wont budge. After finding out that the bolt on the stock lines fit into the 2g calipers, I quickly found the 1g lines too short. After thinking about it for a while I decided to take that metal bracket off the shock so the line has more slack to play with. So now what? How should I go about affixing this to my strut? Maybe make a bracket? Zip ties? What do you guys think? Yes I searched, tuners is down and nothing I am finding here has to do with 2g big brakes.

Well, just an update. I sat and thought about that for quite a while. I couldnt figure a way to make a bracket, atleast not one that would suffice. So out came the zip ties. There are 6 zip ties on each shock holding my brake lines on about 2" lower than stock so the 2 piston calipers will work. Kinda ghetto I know, I'll take pictures next time I am at the shop.
Anyone have any ideas???
I would use small metal hose clamps before zip ties.

When I installed 2g calipers on a 1g I had 1g lines as well and everything fit fine. I honestly don't understand where you are having problems. The lines are two pieces, one below the bracket on the shot and the other above it going to the hard line.

The line from the caliper to the bracket is too short, it was tight as hell and it wouldnt allow the caliper to bolt onto the bracket.
Good call on the hose clamps, I'll go find some.

You need to make sure you didn't kink the line or something. The 2G calipers are a direct bolt on. NO MODIFICATION is needed.

i did the big brake upgrade with no problem whatsoever on my 90 talon awd.
i just used the same hose on the talon and bolted on to the big brake.
i used the diamante brakes. i'm not sure if the hose fitting for the 2g are similar though.

I dont know, I was looking and I have some newer shocks in there, IIRC they are KYB OE 15's or something, maybe they put the bolt hole for the bracket a bit too high? Oh well, it doesnt matter, obviously I am the only one thats had this problem from this board before.
