If you think about it really, it would be a totally messed up way of thinking, i wonder if he would even be able to use the third arm, maybe we are so used to using 2 arms but you wonder if the brain could handle the mechanics of using three arms. All in all if it works out that would be awesome, im sure he could be quite the porn star if anything.

This kid is the only one, and may be the only one for some time, who can say he's got 3 arms, and 3 legs.

I'm guessing the arm doesn't have it's own sholder blade, or if it does, it's not conected with the proper muscles to function corectly. It would be fricken awsome, could wear a normal shirt and keep one hand in your pants to play "Pocket Pool" at all the meetings at work.

Why wouldn't the kid be able to move the arm if it was fully functional? For example, if you want to talk about control of limbs, insects with far less brain matter then us can move in some cases, hundreds of legs. And if you want to say, oh, that's genetics, they learned over thousands of years. How can a lady in china drive a car, give a perfectly good hair cut and play the piano, all with her feet? She learned to cope with her handycap, and so would the kid. The brain can handle it just fine, however the muscles may not be there to fully use the limb.

Geez, read the article. 3 arms = not cool. Besides various other defects, they are trying to decide which one to cut off.

That is one bizarre story. I think they should not cut off the extra arm. I think they should help the kid develop it. Maybe the Chinese can develop a super race of humans with three arms. :D

Mortal Kombat coming to life :D. I Forgot what the big guy with 6 arms was called. Next is a newborn with metal snakes in his arm :D. That'd be pretty cool though. You wouldnt have to walk anywhere in the house, haha. JK.

Is it just me? or does that head on the baby look photochoped? its HUGE, not to mention its ugly as all hell, most chinese babys look like any other 3rd world baby, but this one's head looks like one off a 50 year old (chinese)man

On a second note.....you wonder what kind of legends get started beacuse of stuff like this.......remember in mortal kombat where that one dude has 4 arms? I normally would have thought that was an idea of some creative game designer.....but more likely then not a 3 (or 4) armed human has walked the earth before, and scared the crap out of everyone he laid his hands on
