I adjusted my clutch rod to the point it became ridiculous. I'm pretty sure it was my master cylinder that was shot at the time.

I'd adjust it so it it disengaged about 1.5" or so off the floor. When I drove around for like 15 minutes though, it would disengage WAY off the floor which would cause major slippage. When the car sat for a while, it would disengage back to 1.5". I kept chasing a problem that couldn't be fixed so i just replaced everything.

But yes- you should check for crankwalk first.

So I take it if I have crankwalk, the engines pretty much on it's way to the junkyard? I replaced everything except the clutch lines and the clutch fork and pivot ball, but I was told those were pretty much none wear items. Ok, whats the quickest way to diagnose for crankwalk. When I first bought my car I put like 700 into it, had to get the keyway, little piece was shot, and I was told if I didn't get that replaced I could get crankwalk also. Would buying a engine kit with all the pistons and rods and new crank help to reduce the chances of crankwalk. I now where I can get a kit for around 500 or so.

hang on guys, he should check for crankwalk first. I had signs of pedal pump up, and my car was crankwalked like 0.60.Hang on?? He just changed his clutch master & slave cylinder. He should check the adjustment before he does anything else.

The way you're talking, he'll be pulling the engine for nothing.
