Trust me, you will be sorry if you play the "cheap bastard" card on this one. Do it right and you'll have a nice solid ride. Skimp on too much and you'll be having more downtime. Nice ride though man! Welcome to dsmstyle!

I don't mean exactly cheap to the point of using crap parts. Cheap in terms of used good parts and etc... you guys know what I mean.

what "scheides" was saying was, if the majority of the site says to use ONLY MITSUBISHI timing belts, use them. Yea they cost more, but don't get all cheap ass'd on something as important is this when the price difference is probably 10 - 20 dollars.
Pushing that car to it's limits would be upwards of possibly 400 -500 whp. The tranny probably can't take that power reliably but your engine should ( unless you bought yourself a walking 6 bolt).
Watch the pressure plate / clutch combo you use on your 7 bolt. Many people think using twin disks and lighter pressure clutch kits will help save a 7 bolt from crank walking.
I don't have any idea what you know about the cars so it is pretty difficult to try and help you out. I'd suggest researching on your own. Actually, you probably should have researched before you bought it :P

Honda guy that likes to do things cheap, you don't happen to be from HMT do you? Anywho, welcome to the site. When it comes time to mod, just research. There's plenty of other sites out there with upgrade paths for you to follow. When I first started, this was the one I used.

Good luck with it!

I did a pretty good amount of research before I even got the eclipse.
I have a fair knowledge about dsms but I'm still learning as I go along.
Do you AWD guys also preload your clutch on hard launchs?
What is the power limits of 2gb gsx's tranny before you start breaking stuff at the track?

You can break any tranny from bad driving habbits in general. I have a buddy with 515 whp that runs a close to stock 5spd tranny and hasn't broken it once. However he babies the shit out of it so take it how you want it.
